How we built it: a non-custodial multi-chain browser wallet

As you might know, at Wavect we’re very transparent about how we work.

We’ve share articles about what processes we follow, how to vet tech partners (agencies, freelancers etc.) and more.

Well, today we thought we’d tell you about a case study of ours.

How we built it:
Scramble Wallet

What is it?

a non-custodial, multi-chain browser wallet
that is mobile-friendly
supports all EVM networks, Polkadot, Bitcoin, Tron, and more

There were some unique requirements and challenges:

(1) Platform Compatibility
Balancing browser extension functionality with mobile-friendliness posed a significant challenge, requiring meticulous attention to platform support.

(2) Tron Integration
Implementing dApp <> Wallet communication for Tron presented challenges due to compatibility issues with the Tron library, which required extensive bug fixing.

(3) Fiat On/Off Ramping
Integration of fiat on/off ramping based on central exchange services was crucial. Collaboration with our friends at Dotbite facilitated seamless integration into the wallet.

(4) Marketing Support
In addition to development, marketing support including video tutorials and project management tasks, was essential to align with other developers and integrate Scramble on various platforms.

(5) Time Pressure
With a tight timeline of just a few months, the project demanded intense focus and efficient execution. Despite the stress, it proved to be our most rewarding project.

(6) Accessibility Testing
To ensure maximum accessibility, rigorous testing with teenagers (aged 10-15) provided valuable feedback for optimizing user experience.

A powerful upcoming feature, currently undisclosed, is in development 👀 We will update this blog in the future once that feature is live.
